The Federation of Private Health Sector Actors of Burkina Faso (FASPB) is an apolitical, secular and non-profit association. It was created on March 16, 2013 under the name “Federation of Professional Private Health Associations of Burkina Faso” with the vision “to build a large, strong, reliable, innovative, transformational, efficient and sustainable private health sector”. Its mission is to contribute to the health and socio-economic development of Burkina Faso, by positioning itself as the single point of contact for the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene (MSHP) for the private health sector.

After five years of life, the basic texts of the Federation were reread and the process resulted in the change of name of the Federation in 2019 which became “Federation of Private Health Sector Actors of Burkina Faso” ( FASPB) led by an executive secretariat of 10 members.

At the General Meeting of December 17, 2022, the texts were once again reviewed. This led to the replacement of the executive secretariat by a 6-member board of directors elected for a 5-year term renewable once, the creation of a technical secretariat and the decision to set up regional sections throughout the country.

To date, the FASPB includes fourteen (14) professional associations and one individual actor (the Health Action Research Group) and four agents form its technical secretariat.
