Presentation

The Healthcare Federation of Nigeria (HFN) is a coalition of private healthcare stakeholders committed to advancing the Nigerian healthcare system. We are a non-political, non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for the improvement of the Nigerian healthcare sector. This advocacy stems from years of systemic neglect and challenges that have impeded progress. HFN works actively to influence policy reforms that promote the growth and development of the sector. We are driven by a vision to support the achievement of universal health coverage through the activation and empowerment of the private sector. We believe that by focusing on a "patient-centric" approach, we can drive meaningful change that prioritizes the well-being of all Nigerians. HFN was established in 2015 with the aim of bringing together all stakeholders in the Nigerian private healthcare sector under one roof to influence healthcare policy and practice in the country.

Main objectives :

  • To discuss, consult and act as a negotiating body with the Government of Nigeria on policy issues in the interest of the private healthcare sector and to promote the development of policies that will support private development by working directly with legislators.
  • Defend, protect, promote and represent the interests of private health/medical professionals, including their companies and associations, and those of their partners in the Nigerian health sector.
  • Organize, facilitate and contribute to the training/development of healthcare professionals and stakeholders through consultancy, webinars, learning events, exhibitions/marketing events.
  • Support healthcare financing by promoting policy change to make healthcare assets suitable for investment and develop investable healthcare assets.
  • Support the development of appropriate financing models that will promote the
    healthcare development.
