Presentation

PSPS Togo was born out of the desire of players in Togo's private healthcare sector to join forces to form a platform for reflection and action to improve healthcare in Togo. The vision of PSPS Togo is based on accessibility to quality healthcare for the entire Togolese population, thanks to a synergy of action between all players. It also relies on a better-organized, supportive private sector, working alongside the public sector to improve the country's health indicators. It aims to promote universal health insurance, based on solidarity and the pursuit of well-being for all.

The PSPS Togo aims to contribute to the growing improvement of the health system and the quality of health services offered to populations and communities. This involves the harmonization and coordination of the actions and activities of members with a view to promoting a favorable context for global health action.

The objectives are structured around the following three pillars:

  • organization and capacity building of private sector actors
  • assistance and cooperation with the national health system
  • dialogue and promotion of a strengthened public-private partnership

PSPS Togo has the following missions:

  1. ensure better organization of the private health sector and be its spokesperson to national and international authorities and bodies
  2. promote a quality standard in health services that is accessible to all
  3. maintain permanent dialogue between the private and the public
  4. make relevant contributions to the development of national health policies
  5. engage in advocacy actions with a view to effective universal health coverage
  6. initiate advocacy actions for taxation and a customs regime specific to health.
