On Thursday November 21, 2024, in Abidjan, the Permanent Secretariat of FOASPS observed a staff retreat. The occasion was used to hold a workshop to assess the institution's level of maturity.

The objectives of this workshop were, among others: to identify FOASPS' current level on the Theory of Change scale, to strengthen and harmonize understanding of the "Maturity Model" tool among Permanent Secretariat team members, and to empower participants to become "Maturity Model" workshop Facilitators.

This workshop, facilitated by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Kofi Kumodzi, was based on a five-point methodology:

- Overview of self-evaluation based on theory of change 

- Overview of the tool

- Discussion to identify benchmarks corresponding to the organization's current level

- Identification of the organization's maturity level based on the application of the tool

- Identification of areas for improvement and, if necessary, adoption of an action plan to take the theory of change to the next level.

With the results of the grid or technical assessment tool, the Permanent Secretariat team is satisfied with this exercise, which reveals an evolving state of the institution, moving from the level of growth to the level of organizational maturity.
